Sharing some pictures of a Parker I recently acquired. It is a Damascus 16 GA build on a 0 frame built in 1899. mint bore with no pitting & action is very tight.


I am hoping to shoot low pressure shells with out any problems.

Nick Makinson measured the barrels for me.

Length - 28 Inches
Thickness 6" from muzzle 33 & 34
Thickness 8" from chamber side 60 & 70
Bore size - Left 665, Right 664.5

I am hoping that with the above measurements, I can safely shoot low pressure shells in spite of the barrels being Damascus.

Seems like that one is good to go. RST's are the load I'd shoot. Nice gun indeed. I'd love to have it.

Nice G-grade 0-frame 16.

I have two of them just like it about the same vintage as yours. I shoot them all the time using RST's, but I did have them checked out by Brad Bachelder before I started shooting them.

Good luck and I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with it.

The action is clearly marked as a G grade, but what are the barrels?

The barrels are Damascus.
