I was looking at John "Sleever" Fosters UK site, & saw the new (To me) Galazen A10 O/U.Around 8 Grand. Anyone seen, bought or shot one? Wondering what you got for your $$$'s. For a SideLock with normal (not monoblock) bbls it seems pretty nice. cheers Franc

Don't have one, don't need one, but it looked like a very good deal at the introductory price. Less good at the "regular" price, but still a nice gun.

Franc,
My A10 was delivered about two months ago. I bought the Rose & Scroll version with a 4X wood upgrade. I am very impressed with the quality overall. I got in on the discounts early on, and wound up paying about the price of the standard version. I also have an RBL so I got the existing customer discount as well. It came in a very nice aluminum case. I'm not sure that I would spend $10,000 for one, but I think what I spent was fair for a high quality shotgun.

Am extremely happy with mine. Superb fit and finish. An absolute steal considering price versus end product (my opinion, of course). I feel that Mr. Galazan is to be commended for making an American made product of such quality at such a relatvely affordable price.

The one I looked at some time back had torx head screws which was a major turn off for me. What are they doing now?

Don't let torx head screws turn you off. Fabbri has been using them for years now. Also, next to impossible to bugger one up.

Entirely agree on the torx screws' practicality, but...
Getting used to seeing them in gun locks is like accepting the use of screw caps in great wine bottles. Not there yet.
JC
P.S.: I thought the A-10 was a fantastic buy at the introduction price with all the discounts available. jc

Torx,Phillips and other drywall faseners have no place in fine gun making. Same for laser checkering
