Rudy used to advertise "Etchen Stocks" for any gun. I don't know whether he made them or, like the article suggests, maybe he sent them to Del Grego or Lefever to make them. Some books on Winchester guns suggest that the Etchen stocks on Winchesters came out of the Winchester factory, but I doubt that they did. Joel Etchen claims that all of Rudy's gun not in the family collection are gone. When Joel offered Rudy's big Purdey Pigeon Gun for sale a few years ago, I called him to discuss it, but it was gone and he said there was nothing else left. Remington was using Rudy for promotions in the late nineties and had a Rudy Etchen display at the factory. There is a much bigger Rudy Etchen display at the National Firearms Museum in Oakton, Virginia. It not only includes many of Rudy's guns and awards but some nice competition and collector guns owned and lent by our local collectors. It is worth seeing. When the PGCA research committee was at Ilion for a week in 1998, Rudy was in and out but I never got to meet him. Joel has some nice pictures of Rudy in his shop, but, if you are not an ATA shooter, he isn't much interested in talking about the old days with you. Bill Murphy
