Anybody shooting a 14bore breechloader? I've looked for shells (HA!) for a few weeks to no avail. Solid brass cases are available for $4ea, which is a bit steep in my opinion. Not trying to sound squeeky, but I'd like to get enough to do a little dove shooting without reloading the same 2 cases every time a bird flys by.

My My, who would have thought that there was this much interest in 14ga stuff. This is at least the 3rd time the subject has come up recently. I'm still looking for paper cases too.....

I have about 130 empty Italian cases,2 loaded ones and 2 empty Eley's. While the empty's can be reloaded the existing primers are .297 diameter, while the standard 209's are .237 about 60 thou too small and I understand that they fall through. I'm still trying to get a manufacture to make a run. If you have any interest please post here and I will use the information to try to help persuade one of them to make a run. My cases are 2 1/2" tall when empty, and 2 3/8 tall when loaded. I'm thinking 8's and 6's. sfq

Gaugemate will custom make 14 ga. adapter inserts so you can use 16 ga. or 20 shells. Cost is $200. See http://www.gaugemate.com/custom.htm

sfq, We talked alot about your 14ga dilemma at the Baltimore show. And came up with no solutions. I don't know if your primers are available in England or Europe. You might want to ask those guys. We tried talking RST into having a special run of hulls made. He needs more interest to have his supplier do that. I have about a dozen paper shells that take standard primers, but not enough to meet your needs. Chris

Chris, A dozen shells would meet my needs very well if you care to part with them. My single shot rifle will not be used heavily.
