I have been wondering about this, maybe someone here knows something. Nash's original gun was supposed to have a "custom" top lever, like a faucet handle off of an old bathroom sink. Somewhere, I've seen a picture of it and that is what I thought it looked like. The top lever on the gun for sale is a normal top lever.

I saw on the Fox website someone asked about it, but no other mention was made of it. Does anyone here know anything, or isn't anyone supposed to talk about it?

Tim,

I'd not read that anywhere that I can recall. I'd be interested if anybody knows where that tidbit of info came from.

The story goes he left it on the fender of his vehicle and drove off not noticing it missing until they were miles down the road.

Here is the picture of BoWhoop with its original A.H. Fox Gun Co. XE-Grade stock from the Derrydale edition of Ole Miss --

The top lever looks pretty normal to me. I think that "water faucet" story is just one of the many gross errors in GBE's book on Nash.

Was GBE referring to BW2? This got hashed out on another site just lately.

The story of the loss, was a game warden had ask to see the gun and put it on the fender instead of back in the case after examining. Nash thought it was stowed when they drove off, remember, Nash did not drive!

Craig, that still is a little suspect to me though.
My Uncle's Ithaca, no where near the level of Nash's Fox, is not out of my sight until it is safely in its case underneath my Dad's old dresser drawer. And that is nothing but a beat up old field grade!!

The concept of a Cadillac SUV called "Escalade" for 80K makes a Parker .410 VHE at 35K look like the deal of the century.
