I saw an Ithaca cape gun in 12 ga/38/55 at the Greensboro gun show. It's at the Bahama Gun shop. It was represented as original. Would it be genuine or a conversion?

There at least 2 of these floating around. I owned one for a while that had the rifle barrel on top. Nice workmanship but I could not find any company documentation. I believe it is probably an after market conversion.
