None of my experience with the load was over pointers. All with my retriever and/or big group walking them up with a variety of distances.

Fiocchi 20ga. 7.5's are my "go to" load on prairie grouse, a killer load. Only down side is they are, I believe, a fairly hot load. I only used them in a 60's vintage spanish double and (shudder) my 1100.

I used the #5's on prairie birds in SD last year when it was windy and birds were spooky and busting out early. We must have knocked down some grouse close to 70 yards with that stuff. I used my 16.

I'd be using the 7.5's on wild quail in my 1920's LC Smith, which is pretty strong. Any idea how to get a pressure rating on them? Box only shows velocity. Thanks for all the responses.

Action is strong enough, but they'll probably kick the crxp out of you and crack your stock...Geo

Perhaps, but Keith Kearcher inlet and bedded it, and I shoot my .470 pretty regularly. As long as they don't blow out the patterns, I'm OK with it.

An article in one of the gun rags gave a thumbs down on the patterns shot with Golden Pheasants? Anyone put the Fiocchi's on the pattern board? Years ago, I shot a few in a SW 12, and thought they had a pretty good bite to them. Not used them since in vintage guns. Randy
