I bought this rifle so I could salvage the stock. The barrel and Receiver have more holes than I have ever seen in one rifle. The stock obviously does not fit this rifle. There are no holes for the side mount and no provision for a sling up front. I pulled the stock and the inletting is not marked but was done by hand. Does the work look familiar to anyone? At any rate I really like the wood and should be able to put together a respectable 03 with it.

I have no idea who did the stock, but it is nice. It does look like it had a scope side mount from the cut out; however, I do not see holes in the side of the action. I really like the treatment on the cheek piece.

Michael, Can you tell me what side mount might fit the inletting?
On a side note they also had a Niedner High wall that was full of holes.

No way for me to tell, if the rifle were mine I would fit a G&H to it. Tell me how long the hole is.

I have a high number, star guaged National Match Springfield in a Stoeger , Townsend Whelen designed stock. The stock detail around the cartridge cut off appears similar and the bottom of the cheekpiece has the same fluting.
