Mr. Yooper:

It was indeed Kick Eez what made the finger protector I was talking about. It was called "Finger Eez". I find reference to it on the internet but it appears to be no longer available.

How's about you wind a couple layers of duct tape around the finger hey?

People who shoot with a high elbow (anywhere near horizontal) generally have problems with trigger guard impacts because their trigger hand is rotated up into the edge of the trigger guard. Lower your elbow to 45 degrees down. Looks better, works better. I know any change is going to feel bad when you first try it, just like changing a golf swing, but high elbows are not for shotgun shooting, and probably not for any active swinging method of shooting even with a rifle. Mostly you see it on trapshooters and some skeet guys in the current "mounted gun" era. High elbows usually also mean low heads -- also not good for wingshooting. You certainly do not see high elbows in any classic instruction method.
