As few years back one of the board readers was able to look up my shotgun in the Side by Sides of the World Y2K and e-mailed me a small clipping from the book.

The gun is marked as S. S. Northcote.

There is a lot of speculation that this gun may have been associated with a steamship of the same name but I am looking for the information from this book. Unfortunately the information I had was lost in a computer crash.

I would appreciate it if someone would be so kind as to send me the Northcote shotgun description found in the Side by Sides of the World Y2K book.

Hi," English proof marks, circa 1900, history unknown. The barrel rib is marked with" London laminated steel".This is good quality side by side shotgun. Sdl, Osh, Dt, Lam.bbl, Eng, Pg, Tp.lev.open.
