You didn't explain what you are trying to accomplish. I guess you might want to remove some pitting (light pitting will not hurt anything except appearance, and will not get any worse with regular cleaning of bores)
If you are doing this for choke reasons, I would be careful of wall thickness.
Could you use an adjustable reamer, the only thing you would have to do is drill and tap a hole in the end and use a threaded rod, and double-nut it.
If your bores are .775 this would work.

Good luck and let us know how you make out.

yes it is a 1884 hammer gun with some pitting the barrels are 50 thousands thick and i want to clean them up some probable need 10 thousands or so out have been working with a brake hone is very slow have taken out about 4 thousands is now about 70% clean know just thought a reamer would be faster and more even in bore

I'd send it to a pro like Michael Orlen.

I've had several 10 ga barrels honed out or backbored to my specifications. Most of the well known barrel smiths have commerical barrel honing machines. I have used Briley, Stan Baker, Wrights, Clearview Products. There are many more. I've had barrels honed to .800 with no problems.

Orlen doesn't do 10 gauge barrels.

A friend just sent a Parker to Briley to have the bores cleaned up and was real happy with the result. I think they had the gun two weeks and charged $200-300 for the work.
