Mike--"double" is my estimate from 1k (my estimate of what a 28" barel gun might go for based on description of light pitting in bores and stock sanded smooth) to around 2k, the previous price estimate given by another poster and what I have seen a few priced at--it's a total ballpark and hard to say without photos, etc, I am more just curious what sort of a premium folks around here put on the 30" barrels given 2 of these guns of equal condition.

Mike: I am a member of AHFCA & have been for some time. I was not casting aspersions on Utica Foxes but, as you stated, fit & finish tended to diminish toward the end. I have found, as a rule, an average Philly SW will tend to bring 10-30 per-cent more than one made in Utica. You are right in saying that certain models made only in Utica bring very high prices, for instance the SP(E) & SPR Skeet & Upland Game Guns. I was only speaking of your average SW in comparable condition.

Best Regards, George
