I thought I was clear above but perhaps not so I'll make it clear now. MUCH original metal is missing from this gun and it's basically in relic condition. IMO; There is NO way the gun could be restored to safe shooting condition. I have been told but not verified that the internals are worse than what is externally apparent.

Hello gentlemen:

Let me make an observation; the barrels do not look as damaged as the action and tigerguard. they seams that are only corroed at the surface.
There is an explanation for that?

Best,

Jose

Jose:
That's why you usually have to have an item inhand to make a thorough estimation of condition. The barrels are badly pitted both inside and out yet some blueing does remain. The ventilated rib is just about eaten through in some areas. About the only salvageable part of this gun is the wood and that's not a sure thing.

A Grade V has five birds on both sides. I'm sure there are other ways to determine it, but I've never seen that disputed. Many times they are unknowingly called Dianas. This one actually has six birds on one side, so it's a little unusual.
