I use lots of brass shotgun shells in my short chambered vintage shotguns, but here is a fella who feels very strongly that it is a bad idea!

His posts remind me of somebody on this forum. I wonder if it's the same guy?

I haven't tried this yet but it's my understanding that the proper way to load brass shells is to superglue the overshot wad to prevent it's coming loose on recoil. Would someone please inform me and the rest of the membership if this is correct?

After buffing the inside of the brass shell with a scotchbrite pad, I have had good success with Duco Cement.

There was a lengthly and informative discussion about loading brass shotgun shells here on the Forum about a month ago. There are several Forum members here who do load and use full length brass shells including me. Search back about 7 or 8 pages and I bet that you'll find it!

I use glue for the OS wad. I also found the thick OS wads sold would blow patterns. Paul
