This is from Circle fly. http://www.circlefly.com/html/bp_cartridges.html The wads and cards I use with great success:

The overshot will need to be glued in place and we recommend using Duco cement, paraffin, waterglass, etc. to hold the card in place. Another glue worthy of use is arrow fletching cement, such as Fletch-Tite brand. It is made to stick to non porous surfaces and dries quickly. I recommend using one size larger overshot card in extruded brass. For example, in a 12ga. thinwall shell, use 11ga nitro and fiber wads, and use a 10 ga. overshot that is glued in place. This will help insure that your load column is not going to move.

B Frech,
Thanks for the hot glue tip.
Kcordell,
Thanks for the information it is similar to what I received today from RMC.
I went to Cody today and visited with Dave at RMC. Dave suggested that I ensure that the inside of the hulls are clean and he recommended wetting a rag with carburetor cleaner and wiping inside the hull mouth. He also suggested oversize overshot cards and recommended Ducco cemen (which I use). I have 11 shells in my case tumbler and when they are shiny and bright I will try Dave’s suggestion on half of the hulls and Bill’s hot glue tip on the other half.

I called BP today and was told that 14ga gas seals and shot cups were not available and there were no plans to make them. Do you lube the cushion wad with anything or use it dry? I'll also start cleaning the brass case with a little carb cleaner and will switch types of glue. I've got to play around some more to improve the pattern...I'll take the suggestions posted and see what I can do. Many thanks for the posts.

woodsruner38,
I don’t lube the cushion wads, but use them as they came from Alcan and Circle Fly. My RMC hulls inside dimentions allow for the use of 16 Ga. components and I'll get some PGS' from BPI to try. Re better patterns: Do you remember the plastic strips used in Winchester Super X shot shells. They were one of the first attempts at shot protection before one piece plastic wads. You might try putting a plastic strip inside of the hull and on top of the cushion wads to help protect from the scrubbing effects of the shot as goes down the barrel.

I believe there was a slight crimp put in the brass shells at one time. There is a website http://www.antiquereloadingtools.com. They list all sorts of tools for old shells there. These folks could probably tell if I am correct. As an aside I bought some Magtech 16 ga brass shells that take Berdan primers. Anyone have any idea which primers or where I could get some? The October 1964 issue of American Rifleman contained an article on loading brass shotgun shells. Next week I'll make a scan copy and if it is ok I'll post it here. It would be in a PDF format. If it would not be appropriate I'd gladly send it to Dave and he could put it up on the website in proper form. Please let me know.
Frank
