Just bought a beautiful Franchi "Destino" 20 gauge and am trying to find a manufacturers label for a trunk style case. Galazans doesn't list them and Franchi is no help either. I hope one of the boards members will have a clue.

Reason I asked was that they have had several new Destino's each pictured on their site for a couple of months at the special factory promo pricing, and one last month had a killer stock on it. I actually considered buying it but it sold several weeks ago. Then they got another well stocked one that I was watching again, and that just sold a couple of days before your post, so I thought you may have got one of the two which I had especially liked.

Still don't understand why they have not sold well because I think they are a nice offering, maybe it's the single trigger, it certainly can't be because of non-descript wood. Wood on yours pretty great?

I have to say the "Franchi Highlanders and Destinos" that I have seen looked pretty nice for the price. When my 20gauge showed up on the block I was mightily impressed with the gun, wood especially.

I remember seeing that one listed. The seller had apparantly acquired a large group of them at the special factory promo offer and had them listed along with a large group of Highlanders as well. He had a large number of each and had them at various prices based on the individual wood quality.

I remember when he had them all first listed it was a lot of fun just clicking through all the offerings, seeing all the differences in wood graining on the same guns, and judging if I would have ranked the various stock qualityrankings exactly as he did.

If I remember correctly this one was one of his best looking stocks and carried a corresponding higher price. I'll have to view what he still has left now as I think he has sold almost all of them, at least the Destino's.
