Just getting tid-bits of info on this hammergun, but the hammers and the French ?top rib seem foreign to it be a Sauer? Has anyone seen these >>Gear<< type hammers prior?

Too, it appears the tubeset extension for the Greener Crossbolt is sort or cobbled together or a 2nd attempt with an orphan tubeset and/or frame?

That’s a beautiful firearm. I’m curious, what material is the buttplate made of?
Not sure just yet?

Some grade of animal horn??Interesting hammers- lots of fine workmanship with a milling machine and an indexing vise.. Der Fuchs
The modification of the hammers looks like an owner's request to duplicate the feel of Mauser "Broomhandle" hammers.

Most interesting insight.
