I am thinking of purchasing a splinter fore end for my early Sauer hammer 12b. Macon has this listed on their site. Any one purchased rough inletted wood from Macon? Reviews on quality and fit?

Not hard to find stuff out about Macon. If you like the piece and they send it to you, everyone is usually pretty happy. But plenty of reports, and personal experience, that if it is not all smooth sailing, get ready to get screwed.
