I just purchased this Funk Drilling.

dougk:
A most interesting dreiling with the date on the side of the right side frame reinforcement. Was if from Christoph August Funk or what is on the top rib? Also most interesting is the script "L"/"Z"/whatever near the forend hanger as well as the unique tube maker's marks, which at 1st glance look like a modified Wilhelm Kelber stamp but I can't say for now. But what I would say is that yours and Axel's Lovely Lovena DR dreiling was either sourced from Funk or both Lovena and Funk sourced the same tube maker snd barrel knitter. Any stamp between the disk set strikers on the standing breech?

Note that there is a very, very slight difference in the script "L" stamps but I think it is for the same mechanic.

Kind Regards,
