Would a Banded Front express rifle type front sight such as those sold by NECG be period correct for a circa 1890 style trapdoor sporting rifle ?

I own a 1888 Sporterized Trapdoor and I need a sturdy front sight that I can easily change front sight blade heights.

Period correct or not, I am going with the NECG front sight.

I found a few photos of early 20th American sporting with similar sights, and of course British examples.
