Can anyone confirm that the 10 gauge NID's were offered with 32" barrels only? Subject gun is supposed to be a 1930 model with 30".

Thanks

Check chokes and choke lenght. That will tell if cut.

Ithaca built guns with the barrel length customers wanted. While they only catalogued Flues Model 28-gauges with 24- and 26-inch barrels, there is a No. 1 Special 28-gauge with 30-inch barrels in my gun safe. Walter lettered it with 30-inch barrels and as being shipped May 25, 1915, to F.K. Pierce. Got to get letters from Cody now.

All the NID period Ithaca Gun Co. catalogs from 1926 to 1936 list the Super-10 with 32-inch barrels. But we know of Super-10s built in other barrel lengths like the No. 4E with 28-inch barrels made for Capt. Paul A. Curtis, which he wrote up in the February 1931 issue of Field & Stream.
