Each year the American Custom Gunmakers Guild raffles off a rifle built by a team of its members as a fund raiser for the organization. Next up is #26, a very nice .470 Nitro double rifle done by Tony Fleming, Glenn Morovits and Larry Peters.

I thought this was done every year in January at the ACGG's annual show? When did that change?
thanks, Rob
When the state of Nevada started requiring a license for raffles. They consider it gambling.

Rob:
It seems that Nevada has laws against gambling...
For reasons I cannot comprehend it now illegal for the ACGG raffle to be held in Reno, nor can tickets be sold there.
The Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, WY agreed to host the drawing and Wyoming state law allows non-profit organizations to hold raffles in the state. This will be the second ACGG rifle to be raffled there.
Tickets can be purchased directly from the ACGG on their website.
Best,
Glenn
No gambling in Nevada? Next they'll outlaw sex...
No gambling in Nevada? Next they'll outlaw sex...
I think Harry Reid was working on that, at least in the "for hire" department.
