At an antique show yesterday a dealer had an attractive little Remington rolling block #2 in .32 rimfire. Exterior-wise the gun was in very good condition with no cracks in the wood, sharp markings, bluing turned plum, and all original. The bore was fair with sharp rifling but some pitting, too.

I was tempted but wasn't sure of the worth of the gun as I usually spend my addiction money on shotguns. It still availabe and I'm still thinking. Any comments on worth would be appreciated.

Remington No 2s are the most attractive of the field grade rolling blocks. The .32RFs are the least desirable. They were also made in much more available calibers like .22RF and 32/20, and I would suggest you look for one of those. Val Forgett of Navy Arms liked them so much that he had Uberti reproduce them.
