I am trying to locate an independant lab/technician who could test and provide pressure details on reloads in the larger African type bolt action rounds ( 404.Jeff,416 Rigby,425 WR, 458 Lott etc.). Does anyone know of such a facility and have any experience with them. Thanks in advance.

Tom Armbrust of Ballistic Research does pressure testing and provides printed record and documentation from his ballistic lab.
He's tested loads for me and for numerous other guys from this site.

Try this email address for him

Here's a small site he has covering his articles

I used Tom to get the "impossible" done, regulated a Super Magnum Paradox gun. He was great to work with too.

Hugh:

I'd suggest getting in contact with Hornady. They have pressure barrels in .404 Jeffery, .416 Rigby, and .458 Lott. Ask for Mitch. They might be willing to test a few batches for you, but they won't be able to help with the .425.

As you're aware, the Birmingham Proof House also offers this service, and would be able to do so with the .425, but getting the stuff there might be a headache. Kynoch will also do this for you. They have state of the art equipment.

Thanks to all for your input. I am in contact with White Labs and Tom Armbrust, will fall back on Hornaday if necessary. Again Thanks all!
