Boss side lever delivered July 15, 1881. Originally specified Mod/Full 30” Damascus barrels. The attention to detail is amazing. Note the portion of the foreend metal that is fully engraved under the latch. Also the screw heads on the fore end are each engraved, even though not visible.

Not all best guns were created equal. That one is just about unbelievably beautiful. Do not hesitate to put a few dozen more pictures.

I assume it is a 12. Are the hammers rebounding?

Truly, a gorgeous gun.

When the King of England says a gun maker is too expensive I know they are too costly for me. Just kidding I think Boss guns are great

I'm a sucker for a sidelever. Very elegant looking. I was finally able to purchase a Purdey but a Boss has eluded me thus far. It doesn't matter if the lever is on the left or the right they are just downright sexy!

Yessir, rebounders. The order sheet says "Tumblers low down on plate. Wide hammers." I will try to get a picture of that tonight and post. When I saw those little blooms of case colors, I couldn't pass it up.
