Yesterday we went up in the hills near my house looking for Sharpies. Saturday was the opener but it rained so the roads get nasty. Postponing was an easy decision. I've braved the gumbo before and that sucks. I guess that's a sign that I'm getting some age on me frown

I took my Lab and French Brit for the day. My friend has a GSP.

My shotgun was a Lindner Charles Daly 12ga Feather Weight that scales at 5#8oz. I loaded up some paper hull shells with #6 shot.

We got into a few singles and a bunch of six. Ended killing three. It was a fun morning. Sharpies are spooky so getting decent shots isn't a gimme. They are always on the lookout.

We have that sub species in North Western CO, I have yet to chase them. It is on my to-do list. Nice pics and it looks like a very good time.

Well done dux.
It’s been a long time since I hunted the west slope sharptails.

Karl and I will be chasing their cousins in about a week.

I was doing the same thing you were doing Bobby. Good to hear your back up in the hills. πŸ‘πŸ½
