Do any of you know where I can find them??

I know that ammo is hard to find lately, but I am having a real hard time finding 2&1/2" shells for an old Vintage gun.

I believe that Fiocchi sells low pressure loads too

Any tips for me??

occasionally I find the Win low recoil load, and a Fed 1 oz 12 ga load at 1200 fps and rem 1 oz at 1185. Unless you reload those might be your best bets. I got back into reloading in order to have a 7/8 oz 12 ga load for my old sxs's

I've recently tried what was previously suggested here some time ago, that is to shoot light 2 3/4" loads in a 2 1/2" chambered gun in good condition. My normal target load is 1 oz. 2 3/4 dram 1180 fps. Estate shells, that measure 2 5/8" after being fired. Last Sunday I tried it out with my usual RST 2 1/2" 1 oz. 1175 fps loads to compare. Other than a slight amount of barely perceived recoil, it worked fine, without any shredding or burning of the case mouths. My Churchill may have "generous" forcing cones, but it worked well.
Good to know with the current supply situation of 2 1/2" shot shells!

There are also subsonic AA loads as well as those from B&P, although since their acquisition by Fiocchi it seems availability is not as great in the U.S. as their former importer. I hope that will change. For instance, I don't see any 16 gauge shells at their U.S. website. At least B&P publishes pressure curves on their Italian site. Their 7/8 ounce sub-sound loads are 5800 psi, 1 ounce sub-sound 6100 psi. Unfortunately, the U.S. website does not seem to list the sub-sound, but one variant of the 7/8 ounce Competition One shells run 7250 psi according to the Italian website.

I contacted Dan at William Larkin Moore
www.WilliamLarkinMoore.com
Their 2 1/2" shells were manufactured locally, but the supplier can not source components and no estimate as to when they might be available again.

Drew,

I think Thunderbird cartridge were loading the WLM shells. I didn't know WLM were out of them.

Thanks

Thank goodness for reloading. Otherwise I would only be able to shoot modern guns.

RST had 2.5 inch 20 gauge last night in stock for the first time in forever. Word was out and lit up a different forum.

I checked even though I did not need them they were there by the case and box, but no 12's or 16's.

I snagged a couple flats of 20 gauge finally. Some #6 and some #8.

Now just waiting until I see some 28 gauge availability.
