Click and see all messages are old and replied to. What am I doing wrong?

Could it be that your message box is full, and you need to delete some before a new message can be displayed, which may be pending? Seems like that has occurred with mine before.

Mine is flashing too, but at the top it says "Quota 106/300" so the message box shouldn't be full. I just ignore it which I guess is not too good.
