Some where between $200 and $6000 depending on--grade, condition, etc...
Jim,
Welcome aboard.
If you look on the action flats you should see the number 10 and a letter or two, what are the letter(s)?
The letters tell you the grade.
When you have that info you can go through the monthly auction report that Mr Eckrose so kindly provides us, it listed as a forum of its own on the main furum list.
You can also then try the Gunbroke.com etc.....
Best,
Mark
Thank you,,Rt action flat is stamped 6602 D ,,,and the left flat is stamped PATD MAY 25 1880
JUNE,1,1880
SEPT,13,1887
all the other pcs are stamped 6602,,,still havent figured the pics out yet

OH,,,SIDES OF RECEIVER IS STAMPED ,,NEW ITHACA GUN,,,
Well, after consulting WALT'S BOOK.....I coulda been wrong on the markings
Seems you have a first year of production New Ithaca Gun NIG. The example from that year in the book does not show a gauge and quality stamp as per my comment...(edit..more recent) one shown does. So will need more info..has Walt got ahold of you yet? If it is a "D" quality it was at one time a nice gun!
If you would like to email me the pics, I'll post em up for you.

email sent to marksduer@aol dot com ,,,correct ??
Jim
Gun 6602 is listed as a 10 ga. with 30 inch Damascus barrels and a size 3 frame. No grade given but being Damascus, should be at least a Quality B.
Walt,,,Thank you,,I just emailed some pics to Mark 775,,,and he is going to post them for me,,,I am just looking for an idea of its value and what a fair asking price would be
Thanks again

Geeeeeeeez Mark hurry up! JUST KIDDIN!
I'm board at work.
The pattern in the barrels are like the one shown in the following link,,,scroll to the very bottom pic
http://www.doublegunshop.com/forums/ubbt...age=2#Post38794 I guess its called 2 stripe crolle damascus ??,,it is very clear and nice under the forend,,but the rest of the barrels are brown,,,no pitting,,just a brown patina
Here are a couple pics, his camera does not do close-ups, he really tried...and the pics you see are far better than I thought he was going to be able to do.

EDIT Might also add, that in the pictures he sent me...it has an ebony forend tip, Ithaca buttplate with bird(s) on it and apparently no grade/gauge stamp, just as illustrated in Walt's book for an '87, sorry I could not help more.
