A hunting buddy is looking for a good reference to the various doubles made by Ithaca. Any recommendations?

Can’t beat The Ithaca Gun Co. From the Beginning by Walt Snyder.
(But copies are not cheap)

less costly, but not as comprehensive is a google search...

what you dont find on the net, come here an ask us the really tough stuff...we love dat...

and then, if we don know, then walt, the ithaca mavin his self may chime in... an if he don know, den isle jes make sumthin up...

here is a good place to start...

I see that a seller on EBay has a 2nd Edition for $250. I have both editions and if your friend doesn’t “have to have” a 1st edition, I’d recommend the 2nd because of the substantial additional information.

The 2nd Edition is really more desirable as far as information goes.

Another good source of information is the Ithaca section on Shotgunworld

In agreement with the other posters, acquire a copy of Walt's book/s if you possibly can; these are well written books loaded with information, and a good read even for those non-Ithaca fans. Hard to believe the asking for copies now. Just pulled my copy for a memory refresh, and to my surprise found Walt's original invoice tucked inside and dated 1/28/92; $52.95 to include shipping. My how times have changed! If you can come to the Southern Side x Side in April you'll most likely find Walt there at his table; he always has a great display of Ithaca double guns.

The Gun Digest link would not copy here. I'll try the one from Researcher.

I can read the Shotgunworld article here, but cannot forward it to my friend. The little padlock shows up on left side indicating encryption, so all he would get would be gibberish.
