I have an 1876 Whitmore 10 ga. cape gun. It's the real thing, not some hack conversion. Charles Semmer knew of it and authenticated it as genuine. Thing is after owning it for over 10 years, I still know little of the population that still exists, and it's history, other than it was kind of like a two barrel drilling. It weighs 11 pounds and while one barrel is 10 ga., the other barrel is 40-50 sharps straight. Can anyone share additional information? Oh, the barrels are steel, not damascus.
Thanks,
Carl

Can't add to the knowledge base but what a cool gun!

This gun required a "second" when going into the field! A tripod would have been helpful too!
