I'm in need of some data for 12ga Cheddite (RST) hulls.

I'd like some loads for 1oz -1 1/8oz around 1200fps and below 8,000psi.

If you can help me I'd appreciate it. Thanks

What I did in the past was use 2 3/4" shell data but sub in a shorter wad. First off I want to say I reload with pressures in the mid to low ranges so a slight pressure raise won't hurt anything [ IMHO ]. I called Claybusters and explained what I wanted to do saying I was reloading with lower pressures. Could I sub in one of their shorter cushion wads for one with a longer cushion area. I was only using 7/8oz loads and was going to use a wad meant for 1 3/8oz of shot. He said he couldn't officially say, but he wouldn't be afraid to do it. You may call RST and ask what they're using. They're quite helpful and might just tell you what to use. I once called them and ask how they got such low pressure or low recoil loads [ yes I know one doesn't equate the other ] and he said using a wad meant for a tapered wall hull in a their straight walled hull. I said you'd get blow by - he said ya, what's your point. My made up shell had the wad petals being too long, but they bent over with the shell when it was crimped.

Hogdgon lists less than 8000 psi loads for 2.5" and 2.75" cheddite hulls on their website.

Ken, I was looking at the 2.5" stuff on Hodgdons, and I could not find any loads heavier than 1.0 oz.

Yes they only show 1oz loads.

have a look at 800X data for Federal cases
there seems to be a consensus that the Federal data will work in Euro hulls and at theses pressures I think there will be no problems in a shorter case

I contacted WilliamLarkinMoore about their loads. They told me they have them loaded by Thunderbird and have no information on the recipe. I'm wondering if any of the members have info on how Thunderbird reloads their 2 1/2" paper loads?
