I recently came into possession of a Remington 1894 16 ga. A grade with Damascus bbls. I also have Semmer’s book, but I don’t see anything on the production numbers of 10, 12, or 16 ga. I see a ton more 12’s, so assume they made up the bulk of production. I wondered how many or what percentage of production were 16’s. Thanks.

Very small. No one knows for sure.

No production information available by gauge. Semmer's book will tell you everything that is available. A great reference well worth the price.

If you really want to know about Remington SxS, the guy to get in touch with is Terry Deem. I don't have his contact info but I think he is somewhat active of the Remington Society forums. He was a friend of Mr Semmer and has effectively continued Semmer's accumulation of the knowledge available on Remington.

I have Semmer's book and it's a great reference but it's now around 20 years old and could really stand to be updated. Lots of new information has come to light in the last 20 years
