Any one ever see a GDR 12ga Merkel with 32in barrels?

No. In the UK, Merkels are not common, but most are 28" O/U guns. Some shorter (26", 27") and I have once seen a 30".

Generally s/s are seldom seen.

Model 303E is a fine well engineered gun, with lovely handling.

Mark,
In all the Merkels I've looked at, I've never seen a 32" one. However Merkel did market a 30" Sporter SxS that had fixed chokes of SKT/IC in both straight and pistol grip several years ago. There are a couple on Guns International presently.

I have a friend in NoCal who has spoken about 32” Merkels used by helice and pigeon shooters out that way. Can’t recall if they were SxS or OU. I’ve seen one German made 34” OU in 20 gauge. It was quite the gun. I’d love to own a 32” Merkel SxS.

Ebb,
It would be great for Mark to locate a Merkel pigeon gun. Perhaps a Sauer or Simpson one could be located. Certainly the "needle in the haystack".

At one time Cabela's had a 32" 303E OU Pigeon gun with carved stock.

I have a friend who's got an Adamy O/U. It looks exactly like a Merkel. It has 34 inch barrels and double triggers.
