Is anyone aware of a book regarding the repair and servicing of LC Smith shotguns. I am a hobbyist and I really enjoy working on and hunting with these guns. I have some books on the history of LC Smith.
I would like something that details repair.

You might find "Plans & Specifications of the L. C. Smith Shotgun" by W. Brophy published by Brownells in 1981 useful if you can locate a copy - 240 plus pages of factory drawings.

have your local library order Brophy thru inter- library loan and photocopy those pages you need or scan. ebay has copies on occasion. ask on the LC collectors site.

Thanks guys I did get a copy of Brophy's book which is outstanding. Believe it or not I went to a farm auction with my neighbor this last fall and bought the book for $3.00. I was a very happy guy. I also bought an Elsie parts gun at the same auction, which as of this week is now a wonderful shooting 20 gauge.
I am looking for something like tech tips on repairing Elsies.

I see there is another book by Brophy "Plans and specs of the LC Smith" I am going to try ordering through the library.
