The Cody letter on the 1953 vintage Model 21 Skeet Gun I got this spring was in the accumulated mail when I returned from Kodiak. It says the gun was ordered by Kerr's on February 24, 1953, and was packed May 23, 1953. Does anyone know if the Kerr's records might still exist?

Jun 14, 2011 - I understand Kerr's was an old gun store here in So Cal that is no longer ... He owned and operated the Kerr Sport Shop in Beverly Hills, Calif., .

I first visited Kerr's Sport Shop in Beverly Hills in the spring of 1969 when I was a poor E3 in the U.S. Navy. By the early 1970s, after becoming a O, I got into NSSA Skeet. Alex Kerr and his buddies shot at some of the same shoots I did at Winchester West at Long Beach and at El Monte, but I never got an introduction!!

The family might have them but they're not real forthcoming with information. A friend has chased his target ball collecting records for years and they don't even respond.
