Here is something you don't see everyday. Thought the board might find this interesting. Best regards, Jack

Interesting!! Thanks for the link and picture. I'm sure there weren't very many guns like this made.

In the early 1970's I ran into a new semiautomatic 9mm RF at Georgia Outdoors in/near Atlanta. I think it was clip fed and made by Bernadelli (spelling). The price was $75. I was tempted since I had/have a down-in-the-mouth Winchester M36 and quite a few shells - both Winchester and Fiocchi. When I was growing up, it was a fun gun to shoot. The 9mm RF shoots 1/4 ounce of 9's (Winchester) or 10's (Fiocchi)and does very well out to about 15 yards.

Actually they were rather common, though this one is in nice shape. Winchester actually chamberd the model 36 for this round in 1920. They stopped producing the chambering in 1927 and the shell some time after that. While the round has been around forever, the floberts never really seemed to catch on in the USA. When looking at old catalogs, it is much more likely to find 38-40 shot, 44-40 shot, etc chamberings than floberts. While the 22 rimfire shot was very common.

Until recently at least Fiocchi apparently was still producing new ammo for this.

I guess I'm not going to quietly buy this gun for $100.00. :-)

Could be a couple of things. He doesn't think it is possible to get ammo... A lot of these small gauge guns end up off face (at one point I counted 19 44XL chambered sxs's on various sites, every one of them was off face)... It just sounds so cute...
