Mine came day before yesterday, Linda's came today. I, as always, am mystified how they get separated by two days when they are probably batched when Joanna takes them to the PO. Anyhow, I got mine, now you get yours.

Another Great "Finding out for Myself" by Sherman Bell. He shot 18,500 psi proof loads in about a dozen OLD and worn Damascus doubles for
the effect. All digested them without any notable
damage or strains. Amazing what these old death traps will hold!

Brother Bob:
I've already given my copy away, so I'm not certain; but I think I recall several articles dealing with American guns. The most interesting to me was Sherman Bell's experiment using high-pressure proof loads in very old American Twist and Damascus doubles in poor condition (the oldest was an 1877 vintage Parker lifter); but I think there was something on a Remington hammer gun, Jack Maedel had some more information on the Syracuse Arms Company, part II of my Smith PE article was there; and another thing or two I can't recall. But this issue really has a snazzy new cover design that really catches the eye; and overall it was, in my opinion, very well done with something for virtually everyone.
