Anyone know anything about this model? I've had a hard time finding any information regarding it.

It was imported by Exel Arms of Gardner Mass if I recall correctly. It's basically Lion Country Supply Grade I with some engraving and hidden third fastener as added bonus. Last one I have seen was in very good shape and priced at $450. If I needed
dedicated knockabout SxS game gun I would take a chance on one. It sure beats paying $1600 plus for new one and old Parker Hale 12ga extractor guns go for $800 now.

Have one in 12 ga. with 26" barrels IC & M. If using a 12 for late season grouse, this is my go to SxS. Right now temp. is 9, so no late season grouse hunting for the next week probably.

Exel used their own model numbers for model 30 etc. The 221 is a early model 30 with fence engraving, third lock and chopper lump barrels. Other model 30s do not have chopper lump.

Thanks for the info. The one I was considering is a 20 gauge, but I'm still waiting on pictures from the seller, so hard to know the condition.
