I purchased a Remington 32 on this forum. VERY nice shotgun and I was taken with the double triggers. Hard to find in a over/under. Heavy but should be great for skeet. All original 26 skeet in and out. Anything I should watch for? Why not more O/U with double triggers??????

After 75 years most of the problems should have been discovered and fixed. Should you have any problems that is not a gun that I would send to just any gunsmith. If the need arises ask then who is left to repair it. Chances are that you will never need to ask.

Pat Laib, Spicer, Minn is the to go smith, he specialises in 32s.

DelGregos in Ilion, New York, are the go to Model 32 people. I knew Pat Laib was the go to Model 3200 guy, but I didn't know they do Model 32s as well.

Only a few of the earlier Model 32s had double triggers. The 1933 Remington Arms Co., Inc. catalogue carried this statement -- "Eventually we will have a single trigger for these guns but for the time being double triggers will be supplied. Later the single trigger can be fitted at a moderate extra charge." By the 1934 catalogues the trap and skeet guns had the single trigger and by 1938 it was standard on the Model 32A "Standard" Grade as well.

Laib works on 32s?? By the way, I just sold my 30" double trigger 32. That may have been a mistake.

I bought one off this board with double triggers, 28" barrels choked from the factory cyl/imp cyl. It is a little heavy, but I am a big guy, and it is the gun I shoot the best. Perfect for hunting over pointing dogs.

Last season I shot a little quick at a pheasant and when I dressed it I found the wad in the cavity.

Trap shooters run the K80's for hundreds of thousands of rounds before they need tightened up (if then) I don't think my grandkids will live long enough to shoot that many through the old Remington.

+1 for Pat.My 32TC was doubling.Pat installed K-80 mainsprings and that was that!I had previously sent it to the "experts" 4 time's.They may have all the parts for 32's but have no idea how to fix'em.My own experience. [img:center][/img] [img:center][/img]

Interesting guns . . . even if Remington did steal the design from a Czech gunmaker who made his guns in France. The 32's, by weight, are better target guns. If you can find one of the French-made Petriks, a lot of them are light and make great field guns. I had a really nice one in 16ga, marked Gastinne Renette.

Eddie K, are you saying your Remington Model 32 went to DelGrego four times for doubling and Pat Laib fixed it? Thanks for your reply.

Well made O&U. Predecessor to the Kriegoff Model 32.
