Last week it was the Las Vegas Nitros, for a few grand each. Now there are a pair on gunbroker for a real stiff price. And the .410 has a bidder who is hot after it. Wish I had bought a hundred Nitros ten years ago when they were worth just a few hundred dollars. Now at a grand each or more, they have gotten to rich for my blood. Sad is the day when you learn that Nitros are too expensive to buy. Might have to buy a British gun instead, these American guns are getting to expensive.

The first one IS an 'A grade' but is well used and might have a chip out of the wood where it meets the receiver. And an 'Ebony grip cap'! Maybe the 'gold' chains go with the gun?
Save your money, Jon. I can't believe he would say the 16 gauge is in 90%. Try 15-25%. And no offense but the second one looks like a Sears Ted Williams hand me down. You can buy better guns than this for that amount of money. Even if they aren't SXSs. Good luck.
The wood on the .410 just don't look right.
All American guns have gone-up in price, across the board. They must now be thought of as turn-of-the-century sporting Americana artwork. You can pick-up a Brummie now for less, and still be better-off in the field. We're paying for our past with these icons of better long gone days ago.

There were just under 2500 A-Grades made in all gauges and configurations during their brief six-year lifespan. The vast majority are likely 12-gauges, so a 16-gauge with the single trigger option has to be fairly scarce. The grip cap and forearm tip look to be the pretty normally used black material to me. Certainly not real ebony.
The .410-bore Nitro is obviously restocked, which might actually make it more shootable then the original stock.

First the Parkers went through the roof, so I cleaned em up oiled em and put them away. Then the Elsyies started climbing, then the Foxes, then the Ithacas. I cleaned and rigged them well and put them away each time going to the 'lower valued' gun. Now the NSs and Fox B guns are appreciating to the point where I can't bring myself to use them. (I've actually lost girlfriends because I'm so cheap) If I can't frow it in the bottom of a jon boat or power through the brambles using it for a cow catcher what good is it? Maybe the Turks got it right, put out a cheap piece of crap that will never appreciate and they'll throw it away when it dies and buy another CPofC.
