Hi All

I recently bought this shotgun and would appreciate any information anyone can give me on it. It's marked T Nawa Works and T K Firearms on the bottom plate. Anson and Deely type 12g with extractors, bored IC and Full. Weight 5.75 lbs. Action flats say Steel and NN.

Is it likely to be a rebadged Miroku? Serial number is 33,XXX

Many thanks
Graeme

Graeme, welcome aboard on your first post. I googled both of the names and there was a shotgun forum post of another person seeking information of a Nama shotgun that appeared to be a knock-off of a Greener. There were observations that the gun was most likely made by Miroku. TK Firearms as you may have discovered has references to California and Anchorage Alaska. It is a nice looking gun with a very desirable weight. It resembles a Webley action. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me will pipe in.

Hi all

I was just going through my gun cabinet and realized that I never found out anything about this gun, so thought I'd post it again:

It's marked T Nawa Works and T K Firearms on the bottom plate. Anson and Deeley type 12g with extractors, bored IC and Full. It has a straight English style stock Deeley type front end latch. Weight (now I have accurate scales) is actually 6lbs 6oz. Action flats say Steel and NN.

Can anyone add anything?

Thanks, Graeme

In doing research on a Kasuga, Tokyo double that I own I found references to dozens of small shops in Tokyo building shotguns. Many were sold to solders stationed there and were subsequently taken back to the USA and Europe. The shotguns were built after famous maker models and were very well made. Highest quality steel, wood, heat treating and engraving. A number of the small shops were still making shotguns as late as 1980's.

Oh my gosh, you're right....this must be part of that "rapture" thing we've been hearing about? Still pretty neat. Curiosity is rejuvenating.

Wow 10 years - it only seems like yesterday I was asking about it. The joys of growing old...

Thanks for the info, it appears it will remain somewhat of a mystery.

Cheers, Graeme
