Is anyone familiar with Rich D Hollis and Sons?
I have a double barrel that is made by them and the best I can tell by my internet research it was probably made between 1830 and 1850. I was told the gun may have been a civil war gun? Any information would be appreciated.

Is there a City associated with the name? Also images would help. A quick search yields that that the ah RichD is actually Richd which would have been short for Richard so the name of the firearms merchant would be Richard Hollis & Sons and in 1850 there was a Richard Hollis listed at 79 Weaman Street in the Birmingham Trade List for Gun and Pistol Manufacturers.

Kind Regards,

Raimey
