Is there a way to easily disconnect the auto safety on a boxlock Sauer?
I don't know the model # but it has cocking indicators coming out the sides if that helps narrow it down. I haven't pulled the stock to look yet,but I want to get rid of this feature.

Thanks

You'll have to pull the stock, as you said. You should find a 1/8" diameter or perhaps a bit smaller rod running from the safety to the slide at the end of the cocking mechanism. When the slide pushes back on opening, the small rod pushes the safety to the proper position. Just reach in and pull, the rod comes right out. Save it for future restoration of the feature. That's all there is to it.

Yes, you'll have to pull the stock and sometimes there is a slot in the rod which allows a screw to secure it to the underside of the top of the frame. It usually works off the spindle, which acts as a cam. There are a few cases where the rod is an intergal part and would have to be bent or ground but there's not turning back on these.

Kind Regards,
