Does anyone know who can replace or sleeve a .410 barrel?
Do you have any Idea what this will cost?
I would appreciate any information.

Where in Mass are you?

Sorry, I had to leave yesterday after I posted.
The gun is an Iver Johnson Skeeter, 26" barrels.

I live near Lowell MA.
Thanks, Pete

I'd start with Kirk Merrington in TX, but it might be cheaper to buy another gun just to cannibalize the barrels.

Thanks,

I will call Kirk Merrington.
Have you seen the prices on the IJ Skeeters lately?

Unfortunately, the "price" of a sleeved Skeeter will not be quite up to the price of a high condition original. What exactly is wrong with the Skeeter in question?

I meant the price of a Skeeter would make it too high to buy one and cannbalize the barrels as "Replacement" suggested.
As to what happened to the barrels, its a long story, but let me say, i've ruined the barrel myself due to a couple of stupid mistakes. The right barrel is now bulged about two inches from the muzzle and the bore is also rusted and damaged by tool marks.

You might check with Mike Orlen, in Amherst, Mass.

Skeeters aren't cheap, but the barrels don't have to come from a Skeeter. Sleeving and rebarreling with new tubes is not cheap, either.

Monoblock it and make a 38 SPL Double rifle and have some fun with it!!!

Yes have Mr Orlen take a look at it,you may just need the bulge pounded out, bore reame honed a bit, maybe a rib relay, but all the other options are a big time shot in the arse.

Skeeter .410 barrels are rather thick so you might not be in as bad a fix as you think. Bulges can often to fixed and being at the muzzle makes safety almost a non issue. Mike O. is an excellent person to have look at you gun. Do not worry he has seen worse I am sure. Looking for a extra set of barrels might take several lifetimes.
Call PACNOR and get their rifle barrels with no rifling to use for your 410 barrel blanks. PACNOR phone number 541-469-7330. Some of their 40 cal barrels, .408 or .410, can be custom made as smoothbore shotgun barrel blanks. PACNOR's 600 Nitro rifle barrel blanks without rifling should come out as .610 smoothbores for sleeving 20 gauge SXSs. Good Shooting To You, Jent

good source for sleeving blanks can be H&R. Use their single shot barrel and turn to size.

A two barrel set .410 Skeeter was hawked around the Northern Virginia area some years ago. One set was a rare 30". This set apparently did not include a set of the Numrich barrels. I remember both sets having factory looking serial number stamps. I wonder where that gun is today?
