I'll be off for some surgery tomorrow at 8:30 AM. I have an adenocarcinoma at the lower end of my esophagus. We've caught it in the early stages and expect to fix it by cutting off the bad section and reattaching my stomach back to the end. All the tests showed no sign of the cancer anywhere else, so we have high hopes of a complete cure. I'll miss you all but hope to be home in about a week. Thanks for all the good entertainment.
Good luck and keep your powder dry.
Tim
Speedy recovery and we will miss you.
Jim, you will be in my prayers for a speedy and complete recovery.
Jim, glad to hear that it was caught early. You'll be in our thoughts and prayers.

Take care my friend!
Add me to the list of cancer survivors. Chronic lymphatic lukemia is what I've got and so far I am ahead of the game thanks to a wonderful doctor and modern medicine. Got bad legs but hope to cure that soon. I ain't a praying man but my wishes are with you! Chopperlump

I wish you the best of success with your team of doctors at the hospital.
Do what they tell you to do, make sure your family keeps them on the tip-top alert for you while you're down in the work.
I'll gun for you in the meantime...

Jim: On a Friday in July 2006, my doctor called and said, "No doctor likes to tell a patient this, but..."
In short, the biopsy pathology report stated: "...basal cell adenocarcinoma of the minor saliva glands." If it helps, I can be reached at 815-248-2459 or knightofthetrigger@yahoo.com

Well, hey; I woulda thot direct expression, BP & Protonix would have kept that stuff at bay!
Know you are in our thoughts & prayers for a quick recovery & return.
I know I'm on your ignore list...but, I hope all goes well - I'm pullin' for you!
Jim,
One of our surgeons was diagnosed with the very same. I thought it odd, as he had no risk factors. His ca was also found at an early stage - he's been free of disease for about 3 years.......and he's still working.
I'll be praying for you.
Sam
Jim,
Hope your surgery goes well and your helpful and knowledgeable posts are back here next week. I will say a prayer.
Jim - Shake this thing off and get back here soon. Jay
I am sorry I didn't wish you well before you left. I guess I missed this post. But I sure do hope you have a speedy recovery. We will certainly miss you ol' buddy. And we will be praying for you. Jimmy
I haven't been here for a week and missed this. I pray you are recovering quickly and will be back and healthy very soon. I remember rupturing a lumbar disc in 1989 just before Thanksgiving. I think the worst part was missing deer hunting. I did manage to limp out for a few hours on the last day of muzzleloader season, though I don't think I could have gutted or dragged out a deer. Hopefully, you'll soon be getting out with a favorite gun.
I guess we havent agreed a time or two in the past, but its all in fun. The best of luck to you! i'm sure you'll do fine, and I look forward to your return to the postings! Again, Best of Luck, we're pulling for you.
God bless. Hope the recovery is swift and complete and we enjoy your company here for many more years.
Jim,
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
Jim: Be sure to check in when you get home. I am thinking positive thoughts for your total recovery. gil
Jim,
By now you've probably gotten thru your surgery. I hope all is well and your recovery is swift. Lynn and I wish you and Anne the best. Just for good measure, put your tinfoil hat on. Lowell says it's time for using them now.
Jim, All the best and prayers are with you. Hope your doc wasn't standing there in an apron with a big fork and long carving knife getting in a little practice for tomorrow. randy
Jim: May the Lord of us all be with you. May his perpetual light shine upon you and keep you safe. I'm looking forward to seeing a new post from you in the near future.
Best Regards From Us All, George
