I know this thread may not appeal to some here, as most probably like more traditional SxS's, but I just wanted to show anyone thats interested that you can order a new SxS and have it built the way you want it including stock dimensions.
This is a Zeus 16ga with, 29" barrels, single trigger, case color, full coverage engraving, single trigger, extractors, flat rib, semi beaver fore end, grade 4 wood,
gold 16 on the rib.
So far, I'm well pleased and hope to shoot it this weekend.

Nice gun.

I take it from your tag line that your wife does not follow this Forum?

A friend always said that the tricky bit was coming home with your new gun. After that taking a gun out and bringing it back didn’t raise any eyebrows.

Nice looking gun. How long was the wait time?

Can, the Venus is lighter. That’s the Zeus. Probably around 6. I. Ordered a Venus with 12 and 16 barrels. I’m thinking that the 12 won’t be more than 6 and a quarter, the 16 a shade under 6. They’te on the same frames. The 12 barrels might even be lighter than the 16’s

I'll answer both questions, as configured the gun weighs 7lbs, I feel sure the lighter weights listed on their site are English stock, splinter fore ends.
I can see where that configuration could save a pound or so.
I wasn't expecting a 6lb gun, I own two 20ga and a 28ga in the same basic configuration and they all weigh in at around 7lbs, with the 28ga being the lightest.

The cost with my upgrades was $4850, the grade 4 wood was a $1250 upgrade.

I love the level, flat rib. Prefer a capped pistol grip to the round knob, though.

I am a flat or vent rib guy, swamped ribs are not for me.
All my other SxS's are pistol grips.

Yes, I am a wood whore, just can't stand plain, bland wood.

I didn't choose it, it came that way.
I didn't know it would have a 3" chamber, I will never shoot 3" shells in this gun.

I think that British and European gun-makers are building guns with longer chambers to future proof them with the advent of steel shot.
