This is a 3 barrel set (410/28/20) SKB 785. I have had trouble with the 28 ga set, replaced one ejector and now the other one is not working. I just noticed the ejector's back end --where the ejector hammer strikes it-- is bent outward, so the hammer misses its mark almost every time. I just noticed the wood has warped outward maybe 1/4", I think causing the hammer to miss striking the ejector. I replaced the other ejector several years ago (before I realized what was causing that ejector not to work) and that one is no longer a problem. Question: Is it possible to slooooowly (with humidity) bring the sides of the forend wood back to its proper position? Nn cracks anywhere. We are just is a REALLY (for us in AZ) humid phase of summer and I think I can use the humidity to my advantage to get the wood back to its proper location.
Thanks for any ideas. Gil
