Curious to know if 4 rounds of old custom-loaded 9.3x72R ammo would be of interest to a collector and how much they might be worth. They are in a old Remington "Empty Centerfire Cases" box.
The label on the box has the following information: (Note that there is no area code in the company's telephone number.)

FARNSWORTH Ammunition
RFD NO. 1
Milton, Vermont 05468
Fed. Mfg. Lic. No. 03-3046 Telephone 893-6657

Name.................
Cartridge... 9.3x72R
Bullet Wt.... 286 Load No. 3

Marks 21,
As a loader of various 9.3 calibers, I always recommend against currently available jacketed 286gr bullets for 9.3x72R. These bullets are intended for the more powerful 9.3s, such as 9.3 x 57/62/64/ or 74R. The jackets are much thicker than the special "express type" bullets that are useable in the varying groove diameter barrels of 9.3x72R rifles. Additionally, they are too long for the barrel twist rate of the more modern of the rifles. I didn't make this comment at first because the original poster didn't say the bullets were jacketed and some of the older rifles did use heavier cast or swaged lead bullets.

To answer the original question- what are they worth? Couple bucks.
I mean no cynicism, but rare are cartridges worth selling in quantities less than 20 imo. Even rarer are those worth selling shipping etc in quantities less than 10 (or 5)

That would be a handsome cartridge if loaded with a cast-lead, paper-patched bullet.

Those cases are Military 30-06 National Match, a preferred case for custom loaders because they are excellent cases, don't have crimped in primers, and if you have a source, they were cheap.
