I just got my old MEC fired up for 2 1/2 inch 410. I will use them in my M42 Winchester. Now I am considering using tubes in my 20 gauge SXS.

Comments appreciated.

Thank you.

Tubes change how any gun feels or swings. Add 10-13 ounces at the midpoint of your barrels and see how it feels. If you like a bit more weight on the barrels it might be good for you. But if your 29 is 6 pounds are you going to enjoy a 7 pound .410? On the plus side is a bag of shot will load 800 .410 shells.

I have an older browning 425 sporting that I shoot very well. A few years ago I purchased full length sub gauge tubes for it. The gun already weighed 7.8 pounds. It now weighs almost 9 pounds but with the extra weight of the tubes it settles into the hands very well. We just had a .410 skeet tournament at our club a couple of weeks ago and I shot 96 with the tubes installed. I think you will like tubes in a SxS or and 0/U.
